Priority Pass is a network of independent lounges throughout the world that members can access regardless of the airline and class that they are flying. For a long time, there have been no Priority Pass options in the Sydney airport. It seems that there are not any lounges that would accept Priority Pass members.
Priority Pass became creative with their pass options in the airport, instead working with restaurants as opposed to lounges. You can now use your Priority Pass at 7 different restaurants at the airport, located in all terminals (terminals 1, 2, and 3). This is the complete list of restaurants available:
Bistro 2020 & Bar
Wok on Air
Priority Pass members will be entitled to AU$36 per person, per visit at any of these restaurants. If they are entitled to bring guests, the guest will also get that. This is potentially an amazing deal, especially if you have a lot of guests. Even if you don’t, AU$36 covers a lot, even in airport restaurants. I imagine the food would be much better than what is available at most lounges too.
This is a creative way of being able to use your Priority Pass at the Sydney airport and takes care of a major gap in the Priority Pass network. I hope to see this model expanded to other airports across the world, as I would generally much prefer having restaurant food than the food available in most lounges. For all Priority Pass holders, would you use this in the Sydney airport?
